5. Light-Heavyweight Hopefuls
Brave 2 also sees the first ever light-heavyweight bout in the organization and it’s a fascinating contest between two fighters with serious amateur pedigree. Ben Forsyth and Tyree Fortune dominated at amateur level and have started their professional careers in the same vein, winning. Forsyth won Gold at the IMMAF World Championships, which is as decorated as you can get as an amateur mixed martial artist. All the best young fighters dream of securing a gold medal in Vegas and he did just that, winning three tough fights on route to glory. Fortune is one of the best wrestlers in America and was on track to compete in the Olympics before deciding to quit wrestling and focus on MMA. Since he did, he’s been notching win after win, utilizing his explosive takedowns and freakish strength to subdue his opponents. In his first professional fight, in October, he won via TKO in the second round and is back as these two young fighters with unlimited potential battle to see who is the brighter prospect.
