Brave 10: The Kingdom Rises, set for March 2nd, in Amman, Jordan, has suffered a small setback as Bantamweight Michael Deiga-Scheck was forced to pull out of his upcoming bout against Nawras Abzakh due to injury, Brave officials announced today.
The Brazilian was looking for his first win inside the Brave cage, but an undisclosed injury means he will have to sit out training for three weeks and has been ruled out of competition for the next couple of months.
While Brave Combat Federation is searching for a replacement fighter to face Abzakh, Ahmed “Prince” Faress made sure to let them know that he is ready to fill the spot. Abzakh had issued a challenge a few months ago, stating that he can finish Faress in which ever way “the fans want me to finish the fight”. In turn, Faress pledged to teach Abzakh a lesson if they ever meet in the cage, and this seems like the perfect opportunity. Faress finished Bharat Khandare at Brave 5 back in April of last year and feels he deserves this opportunity to get back in the cage.
“I will fight him in Jordan. This fight is meant to happen. Abzakh needs an opponent and ill be happy to give him his second loss in front of his fans in Jordan. It’s never personal, but I am the best bantamweight in the Middle East and I will prove it each time I step in the cage.”
