After his successful MMA debut on November 2012, Lebanese Canadian Aiemann Zahabi (1-0), younger brother to world renowned coach Firas Zahabi, will face Dereck Charnonneau in Challenge MMA’s second promotion. Challenge MMA “Think Big” will take place on the 17th of August at Centre Pierre Charbonneau.
Aiemann Zahabi is well known for his coaching of rising MMA fighters out of the Montreal-based Tristar gym, home to none other than current UFC champion Georges St-Pierre and fellow Lebanese Canadian UFC fighter John “The Bull” Makdessi.
Aiemann Zahabi to ArabsMMA:
My training for this fight has been going well. Took on a new mitt holder Alex Stines. We have good chemistry, my hands have been coming out smooth. Looking to out box my opponent this up coming fight. He is someone I have fought a few years ago in the amateur circuit. I beat him in the 3rd round by rear naked choke. Hoping to beat him again.
Aeimann won his first professional fight at Slamm 1 last November by easily submitting Kyle Vivian (0 -8) one minute before the end of round 1. It is worth mentioning that Zahabi’s opponent Dereck Charbonneau (0-1) had lost his first professional fight that same night at Slamm 1 against Robin Black (4-5), and he is definitely counting on this next fight to clean his record.
Also on Challenge MMA 2 fight card are: David Loiseau, Alex Garcia, James Mancini, Louie Sanos, Oli Aubin, and Ryan Hall.
