El Hadi Ould Ali, Minister of Sports in Algeria has honored Brave Combat Federation Featherweight champion, Elias Boudegzdame on two different occasions. Boudegzdame became the first Brave championship title holder in the Bahrain based mixed martial arts promotion after his title fight against Massio Fullen from Mexico at Brave 3: Unstoppable which was held at Abu Dhabi. Elias who represents Algeria became a national champion after his hard fought victory to stardom.
Boudegzdame returned to his mother land with the championship belt and was invited to the Ministry of Sports in Algeria to honor his achievement and for representing the country at a global platform. The Ministry of Sports has appreciated the efforts by the Kingdom of Bahrain for promoting Mixed Martial Arts on a global scale and providing opportunity and platform for global athletes. The Brave Combat Federation Featherweight champion was again shown appreciation and was gifted the national costume and jerseys of Algeria embedded with Elias’s own personal logo.
Elias’s progression in MMA has been a roller coaster ride for him. In 2012, when Elias Boudegzdame decided to venture into MMA, he spent all his time and energy training, fighting and focusing on his ultimate goal. Fast forward 5 years and 16 more fights, Elias of team ‘La Bonne Ecole’ landed in a contract with Brave Combat Federation. Boudegzdame walked into his first fight under Brave CF against Walel Watson. In less than two minutes the Kimura was locked and the referee Mihail Mihailovic declared Boudegzdame the winner. At Brave 4: Unstoppable, Elias was announced to face former UFC fighter, Masio Fullen for the inaugural Brave Combat Federation featherweight belt. After nearly getting knocked out, Boudegzdame locked a fight ending Triangle Choke to become the promotion’s first world champion.
