Eurosport brought the news about the matchup:

Royval himself was scheduled to take on Askar Askarov at UFC Fight Night 212. The Russian fighter suffered weight-cut-related issues. This led to the bout’s cancelation and made way for a new pairing. Royval is a former Legacy Fighting Alliance champion. The American fighter won championship gold by beating Nate Williams at LFA 79. He never defended it as he was signed by the UFC. In his promotional debut, ‘Raw Dawg’ defeated Tim Elliott at UFC on ESPN 9. Then he added a submission win over Kai Kara France at UFC 253 to his record.

This time around a four-fight winning streak came to an end at the hands of Brandon Moreno at UFC 255. Next, ‘Raw Dawg’ was bested by Alexandre Pantoja. After that, he bounced back with two consecutive victories over Rogério Bontorin and Matt Schnell.

Amir Al Bazi is a European MMA circuit veteran. He fought for such promotions as Bellator, and BRAVE CF and later signed a deal with the UFC. The Iraqi fighter has managed to win all of his three UFC bouts. First, he bested Malcolm Gordon at UFC Fight Night 172. Next, he defeated Zhalgas Zhumagulov at UFC 257. In his most recent bout at UFC 278, Al Bazi managed to submit Francisco Figueiredo.
