Egyptian Top Team – Amr Wahmann got used to being thrown in with sharks but this time in Amman, he came out on top in a spectacular fashion submitting the Spaniard early in the first round.

Facing Victor Monfort after seeing his fight with George Eid was no easy task for any welterweight at Desert Force yet Wahmann is known to take any fight offered to him. Amr Wahmann faced Team Noguera’s new prospect and came out on top after nearly ending the fight with a TKO.
Wahmann outstriked the former Muay Thai Champion from Spain, and in turn landed one of his strikes which was a perfect set up for a tight fight ending Guillotine choke, almost as a perfect statement.

“Victor Monfort is a tough guy, and I knew that I had to come in ready for anything” Wahmann said at the post-fight interview. “It was a real test for me tonight. I think a lot of people in the media probably saw this guy having his hand rasied, so we shut them up. We stopped him, and we did our thing.”

This win puts Wahmann back on track as a contender in the welterweight division. The first Arab to finish a foreign fighter at Desert Force promotion and surely not the last one in my opinion. Another impressive win like this one will surely put him back on top.

Thanks to my Coach Mohammad Abdel hamid, I am ready to face anyone! It doesn’t matter who is next in line to face me, I’m just getting better every day and just really enjoying it.
