Brave 23 Set For Amman, Jordan This April

A bit more than a year after a sold-out inaugural event in Amman, Brave Combat Federation returns to Jordan. Officials confirmed today that the only truly global MMA promotion will be heading back to the country’s capital in April 2019 for Brave 23.

The main event and fight card are yet to be announced but fans can expect a taste of the best international talents in the Brave CF roster plus the biggest local stars in MMA. Brave Combat Federation currently has two champions from Jordanian nationality: Abdul-Kareem Al-Selwady is the current Lightweight titleholder, while Jarrah Al Selawe holds the Welterweight crown.

With its electric environment and a second-to-none loud and active crowd, a return to Jordan has been in Brave’s plans for a while, Brave President Mohammed Shahid guarantees.

“We have been talking about returning to Jordan since the moment we wrapped up Brave 10 last March”, he said. “Jordan is one of the biggest talent-pools not only in the Middle East but in the entire world. Developing this potential is a crucial part of our plan to create a new ecosystem for the sport of MMA. That’s why we are back. And we couldn’t be more excited about it”.

Brave 10 was, indeed, a milestone for Brave CF. Kicking off the historic 2018 for the Bahrain-based promotion, the fight card was an action-packed night, with some of the biggest Jordanian stars shining, such as future champions Al-Selwady and Al-Selawe.

The card in Jordan is the second confirmed by Brave CF for 2019. Earlier in the year, the promotion announced that Manila, in the Philippines, will host Brave 22 in March, with world champion Stephen “The Sniper” Loman defending his Bantamweight belt against former Featherweight titleholder Elias “Smile” Boudegzdame.

The full fight card for an already groundbreaking Brave 23 will be announced by the promotion in the upcoming weeks.
