Abdulkareem Al Selwady is evolving into one of those complete MMA fighters who bring a full-clad package and originality to the cage which will make you pop out of your seat every time they strike, take-down, or clinch. In his last outing at the Brave 1 headliner, the Jordanian choked out opponent Rami Aziz, after which he was promoted to purple belt by his coach Ashraf Shishani.
In preparation for his second fight at Brave Combat Federation, the lightweight contender has made his way to Texas to train at All-American MMA and BJJ with Rocky Budri and Rafael Casies and with Fortis MMA with MMA head coach Sayif Saud , and BJJ coaches Josh Bagaly and Loronz Marion.
Earlier today Al Selwady announced on Facebook that he brought home the KUNAFA at a BJJ tournament this past weekend, winning two gold medals. Going against some of the toughest brown and black belts, Al Selwady won all 5 fights by submission, without any points scored on him. The champ clarified:
“I just won the Super No Gi Absolute with 5 fights 5 submissions against some really tough brown and black belts, no points scored on me today . Total domination #1on1 style.”
With this victory, Al Selwady was awarded a free trip to compete at the Grappling Industries Worlds in 2018.

Abdulkareem Al Selwady is set to make his appearance under the Brave Combat Federation banner at Brave 4, scheduled for Abu Dhabi on the 31st of March.
