BRAVE Combat Federation has revealed a thrilling fight card for its return to Slovenia with BRAVE CF 88. The event, set for September 28, will be held in association with WFC and marks BRAVE CF’s second event in Slovenia this year, following BRAVE CF 81.
Two Title Fights Headline the Event
BRAVE CF 88 will feature two historic title fights, making it one of the biggest events in European MMA. The event will showcase athletes from 11 nations, including Bosnia & Herzegovina, Germany, Lithuania, and Slovenia.
In the main event, European MMA star Erko Jun faces German knockout artist Alexander Wesner for the vacant Light Heavyweight title. Jun earned his shot after defeating Mohammed Said Maalem at BRAVE CF 81. Wesner, on a five-fight winning streak, hasn’t lost since 2021.
The co-main event will crown the first-ever BRAVE CF Heavyweight champion. Pavel Dailidko, riding a four-fight winning streak, takes on Azamat Nuftillaev, who has three consecutive wins. Both fighters are determined to make history.
Local Stars Ready for Action
Slovenian fighter Monika Kučinič returns after her impressive win at BRAVE CF 81. She will face Italy’s Fabiola Pidroni in a Strawweight bout. Other fighters from BRAVE CF 81, Patryk Dubiela and Domen Drnovsek, will also return to action against Martin Batur and Kristjan Toniste, respectively.
In a Light Heavyweight clash, Luka Podkrajšek makes his comeback to BRAVE CF after a year away. He faces Italian newcomer Michele Mirabella. Miha Frlic, fresh from a two-fight win streak, will take on Samuele Di Guardo, who is unbeaten in three fights.
Exciting Undercard
The opening bout features Serbia’s Marina Spasič against Brazil’s Maristela Alves in a Strawweight contest. Following this, an amateur Welterweight fight between Slovenia’s Kirill Negru and Tilen Bregant will highlight the best amateur talent in the country.
BRAVE CF 88 is the eighth event of the year for BRAVE Combat Federation and follows BRAVE CF 87 in the Netherlands. It will be followed by BRAVE CF 89 in Spain on October 19, further cementing BRAVE CF’s dominance in European MMA.
