Brave Combat Federation have announced the arrival of two very exciting fighters, one prospect, and one already proven at the highest level in Mixed Martial Arts. Both of Alex Da Silva and Walel Watson are a major coup for Brave Combat Federation as one fighter. Walel “The Gazelle” Watson (13-8) is a proven killer at the highest level, while Alex “Leko” Da Silva (17-0) looks like he may be the next sensation in the sport, who is ready to detonate on mainstream MMA.
San Diego’s Watson, A product of Team Hurricain Awesome, is an explosive finisher who has fought the best in the business including former UFC Bantamweight Champion T.J. Dillashaw. He’s had four fights in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, the pinnacle of MMA and despite falling from those heights, he’s arrived in Brave Combat Federation with a new opportunity. He’s an elite fighter, with world class striking and nasty chokes, particularly his Guillotine and Triangle Jiu Jitsu techniques.
Mohamed Shahid, President of Brave, said:
“Walel is a tremendous athlete who will be a big challenge for any fighter. He brings with him a wealth of experience fighting at the very top level and will endear himself to fans in the region with his exciting fighting style.”
Fighting out of Santarino, Brazil, Brave welcomes a truly thrilling prospect who remains undefeated after 17 fights on home soil, and is ready to announce himself on the global stage. Alex “Leko” Da Silva is extremely well-rounded, and has heavy hands and scary head kicks which fly in from all angles. His most recent fight spoke volumes of his potential. He fought his toughest opponent to date on paper, Marcel Piazza, who had a very respectable record.
What ensued in the next five minutes was tantamount to torture. He picked Piazza to shreds, and dropped him several times with ruthless uppercuts. He then battered his face into a bloody mess. Finally the referee stopped the fight early in the second to end Piazza’s misery. A highly impressive performance against credible opposition and “Leko” showed that he’s ready for a big step up in competition. Hence, his timely arrival in Brave. He possesses frightening power and particularly his left hook seems to drop opponents every time it lands. Watch out of this fighter, and remember the name: “Leko”.
Alex Soto said of Da Silva:
“We are delighted to be bringing Alex into the fold. He is one of the top prospects not only in Brazil, but globally at featherweight. Therefore, he will complement our growing Featherweight roster.”
CEO Mohammed Shahid added:
“Alex is exactly the type of fighter we want at Brave. I for one am really excited to see him make his debut with us.”
