French/Moroccan Faycal Hucin (10-3) finishes UFC veteran Che Mills (15-7) at Cage Warriors Fight Night 9 on Friday 25th in Amman, Jordan!
Che Mills looked solid in his middleweight debut against Faycal Hucin but that didn’t last long! Mills was controlling the fight from a distance but Hucin managed to take him down. However Mills moved quickly back to his feet, where he resumed the striking attacks. An accidental eyepoke by Hucin briefly slowed things during a timeout, yet Mills continued to use his jab to keep Faycal at a distance as action restarted. Hucin did score another takedown, but Mills was again back to his feet before his opponent could capitalize.
As the second round started Hucin sticked to his plan and kept going for takedowns. However, his best moment came when he let his hands go and landing a massive power shot that wobbled Mills and sent him to the floor. Hucin capitalized on that and landed some heavy punches. Mills slowed things down well from the bottom, but Hucin continued to grind away with punches, eventually earning the stoppage due to an accumulation of blows.
The end came with 37 seconds left in the second frame.
A big win for the French/Moroccan proving that he will not be stopped in this division! A win against an former UFC fighter takes him one step closer to achieving his goal and reaching the biggest MMA platform on the planet!
