Hani Chehimi – Mehdi Oulhaci

Third fight tonight has Algerian Mehdi Oulhaci making his Pro debut against Team Shogun’s Hani Chehimi, in his corner is Nayeb Hezam a well known Algerian MMA fighter.

Chehimi comes running in. In his corner is Desert Force champion Mohammad Karaki and Top striking coach Ali Makhzoum. An Algerian Vs Lebanese Matchup.

Round 1: Both light heavyweight fighters enter the cage. Let’s get this going. Fighters barely touching gloves. Referee for this one is Yazan Ghattas. Mehdi takes Chehimi down. Mehdi in side mount now. knee on belly working his GnP. Hani manages to slow this down. Oulhaci goes for an Americana, then changes his mind. Still in side position. Huge elbows from Mehdi. Goes for an Americana again, but chehiimi smartly defends it. Mount position for Oulhaci who is controlling this round from the beginning. Huge punches landing from mount with Chehimi unable to escape but successfully defending.

Big elbows from Mehdi dropping on Hani’s head. This round is all Oulhaci. Will Chehimi survive to the second? More pounding from the Algerian, but Hani still defending. Arm bar attempt from Oulhaci, it’s tight.

Chehimi escapes, but looks very tired. First round is over. Chehimi’s face a bit bruised up. Let’s see what the second round has hidden for us.

Round 2:
Chehimi in the middle of the cage. Oulhaci goes for the take down Presses Hani to the cage working for a standing guillotine. Chehimi defends again. he rolls and lands in Hani’s side mount. Oulhaci mounts, pounding his way trying to set up the arm bar, stays in mount delivering bug punches from top. Hani manages to escape and lands in guard, body shots from Chehimi. A scramble and Chehimi is on his feet. With Oulhaci on his back, Chehimi lands some punches from half guard.

Mehdi reverses Chahimi and is in his guard. Chehimi goes for a triangle. Oulhaci is stuck. Referee stops the fight. Oulhaci not happy with the decision. Referee Yazan Ghattas asking him twice if he’s ok, then steps in to stop the fight.

A controversial decision! But the referee’s job is to protect the fighters.
