LEBANON | The second fight at Desert Force 18 had Yousef Wehbe skillfully dictate the pace and control the stronger Mohammad Sabbah. This bout featured two illegal knees to the head of a grounded opponent, thus ending in a disqualification (DQ) win for Yousef Wehbe.
Yousef Wehbe Vs. Mohamad Sabbah was part of the Desert Force 18 preliminary card prior to the main fights that aired live on MBC Action. The event took place on the 17th of August at the Hikmeh Stadium in Ghazir, Lebanon.
As the referee signals the start of round one, Mohammad Sabbah makes the initial contact, and both fighters engage in the center of the cage. Wehbe goes for a single leg takedown which was stacked by Sabbah. The latter delivers an illegal knee and gets a one point deduction. Half way through the round, Wehbe sinks in a tight standing guillotine that almost ends the fight.
Round two had a similar scenario with Wehbe controlling the fight on the ground. Sabbah delivered a vicious knee to the body forcing Yousef to go for a takedown. Sabbah defends and lands another illegal knee to the head forcing the referee to rule him out.
Yousef Wehbe, young and talented, improves his record to 1-2-1 with his first professional win in Desert Force. Sabbah stands unsuccessful in his professional debut.
