Since the greatest undefeated champion in the promotion – Stephen Loman from Team Lakay decided to move to the ONE Championship, the title remains vacant. The prestigious title will be contested among two of the top fighters in the promotion, Hamza Kooheji and Brad Katona.
Hamza Kooheji is among the pioneers in the region and has a professional record of 11-2-0. He has an impressive 5 fight win streak and has shown impressive wrestling skills he has acquired over time from some among the finest in Dagestan. He will will lock horns with Canadian standout Brad “Superman” Katona (10-2) of Canada in a five-round collision at BRAVE CF 57.
Kooheji is a legend of Bahrain martial arts, featuring a skillset that includes pinpointing striking and solid technical grappling. In addition, he owns victories over the best fighters in the Middle East and Southeast Asia, including Jeremy Pacatiw, Mohammad Farhad, Crisanto Pitpitunge and Nahuel Gandolfi.
His opponent from Canada, Brad Katona has a record 10-2-0, with impressive fights purely for the fight fans and will pose a threat to Kooheji. The bout will be one of the toughest in the careers of both fighters.
More bouts for BRAVE CF 57 will be announced in the days to come as the Kooheji vs. Katona duel will be one of the three World Title encounters to be slated at the organization’s first major event for 2022.
BRAVE CF 57 will take place during the 2022 edition of the BRAVE International Combat Week, which will also feature the epic first edition of the MMA Super Cup, the largest amateur tournament in the world in association with IMMAF, KHK Sports, and the Bahrain MMA Federation.
