Fighters React To MMA Ban in Lebanon

Unless you’ve been living under a rock in the past few days, you’ve probably heard about the new set of rules implemented by the Lebanese government, effectively banning Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). Here’s the full resolution:

Article 1: Resolution 67/1/2016 on 10/4/2012 regarding MMA is annulled, and so the said game becomes one of the non-practiced sports in Lebanon.
Article 2: It is prohibited to any party, and under any title, to hold games, competitions and events of MMA or any similar sport in which a cage is and violence are used, and that, under the risk of applying the laws in force.
Article 3: This resolution will be published and divulged where needed.

Following Thursday’s unexpected and shocking move by the Lebanese sports minister to ban Mixed Martial Arts throughout the country, fighters took to social media to react to the ruling.

In a country where corruption and disorder is prevalent, it would seem odd that MMA was the culprit:
