History was made by Mohammad Fakhreddine as he became the first, and so far only, fighter to hold two BRAVE CF division titles simultaneously. He achieved this remarkable feat by securing both the Middleweight and Light Heavyweight titles between 2021 and 2022. Now, as he prepares for his comeback, this Arab MMA icon is eyeing an unprecedented third-world title.
Dubbed ‘The Latest,’ Fakhreddine has his sights firmly set on the Super Welterweight world title. In a bold move, Fakhreddine called out the reigning champion Kamal Magomedov.on an Instagram post by ArabsMMA, tagging both Magomedov and BRAVE CF, and openly challenged for the world title shot at 79 kilograms.
The Instagram post sparked speculation about what’s next in Fakhreddine’s career. He hinted at a groundbreaking ambition: clinching a world title in a third weight class. His comment read: ‘How about a third world title? BRAVE CF Super Welterweights, I’m coming for you.’
Kamal Magomedov, the current Super Welterweight champion has warned the Arab legend to ‘’be careful what he wishes for’’
Champion Kamal Magomedov responded promptly to the challenge from the former dual-division titleholder. He cautioned Fakhreddine, advising him to ‘be careful what you wish for.’ Unintimidated, the Lebanese legend reaffirmed his desire:
‘This is exactly what I am wishing for. The champ-champ faces the newly-crowned, young, and undefeated champ. What a phenomenal fight it would be.’
Ultimately, both the former two-division champion and the current Super Welterweight ruler agreed to make the fight happen. In the same social media post where Fakhreddine and Magomedov exchanged words, another fighter made his presence known unconventionally.
Eliezer Kubanza, boasting an undefeated record of 5-0, boldly stepped into the conversation, setting his sights on Marcin Bandel, the former Brave light welterweight champion. Kubanza’s callout was far from traditional, as he commented:
‘I would love to kiss @bombabjj the same night for the co-main event what’s up sensei I want some bjj kisses???? oss.’
While mocking Bandel with this unusual challenge, the tone can be perceived as somewhat sleazy. Coming off a frightening knockout victory over Adel Ibrahim at Brave CF 79, Kubanza’s decision to call out the highly skilled and experienced Bandel might be seen as overreaching, hinting that he could be taking on a challenge that’s more than he’s ready for. We leave that to you, our readers to decide.
