Middleweight champ Hashem Arkhagha in his early days. Barroso (15-3) will replace Robert Drysdale who was forced to pull out of his UFC 163 bout due to staph infection. Francimar “”Bodão Barroso will meet fellow light heavyweight Ednaldo Oliveira (13-1) this August at UFC 163 in what is supposed to be te biggest fight of his career.

Francimar enters the UFC with a three fight win streak, recording 12 victories in his past 13 fights. A winner of 12 of his last 13 bouts, Barroso has won three straight fights since suffering a first-round knockout to Baga Agaev more than two years ago. “Bodão” posted a pair of stoppage wins last year and scored his first victory of 2013 on April 12, when he submitted Simao Melo da Silva with second-round rear-naked choke at Watch Out Combat Show 25.
UFC 163 will take place on August 3 in Rio de Janeiro. Barroso vs. Oliveira is expected to be part of the Facebook-streamed preliminary card.
