Russian fighter Gadzhimusa Gaziev has stepped in as a last minute replacement for Mohammad Fakhreddine to face the Brazilian Thiago Vieira at the co-main event of Brave: The Beginning. Initially set to headline the card, Mohammad Fakhreddine was forced to pull out of his highly anticipated matchup with Vieira due to injury.
Gaziev boasts a professional record of six wins, four of them by the way of knockout, and has only one loss as a professional. The 24-year-old Daguestani won his last two bouts and will make his international debut in Bahrain, after competing seven times in his home country.
Training at the highly decorated Gorets MMA team, alongside important Russian names such as Rashid Magomedov and Ramazan Emeev, “Deadshot” has a solid boxing background and guarantees he’s not afraid of his opponent’s credentials. “Thiago is a high level striker but I’m ready for the war against him!”, said the Daguestani.
In turn, Thiago Vieira is still undefeated in professional MMA, with eight wins, all of them by the way of knockout or submission. After winning a national championship and Brazil, and standing out in the South American circuit, “Monstro” is also set to make his international debut on Brave.
Brave 1 new main event will be the much anticipated bout between the long time rivals and Middle Eastern stars Abdul Kareem Al Selwady and Rami Aziz, finally settling their differences inside the cage.
