Two of the most promising Egyptian MMA fighters will return to action at BRAVE 71 held in Bahrain at the National Stadium on 19 June 2023. Mahmoud Fawzy Sebie and Maysara Mohamed made waves in the promotion commanding a sizable fan following and keeping Egypt’s hopes at an all-time high. While Maysara Mohamed is undefeated gifting fans remarkable moments, Mahmoud Sebie kindled the rockstar aura across the GCC with his dazzling performance in the division.
Sebie is a 4-time Arab champion, and a 5-time African champion, won a gold medal at the African Cup, was the best wrestler in Africa in 2015, a silver medal in Nikolai Bitrov Bulgaria January 2016, a silver medal in Spain Grand Prix in May 2016, a bronze medal in Germany grand bronze tournament June 2016, and won the silver medal at Dave Schultz tournament Colorado US January 2017.
Fawzy made his Brave CF debut against Wajdi Missaoui on 12 December 2021 at BRAVE CF 67, knocking out his opponent in the first round. He returned to face Muhammed Kir Ahmet on 18 February 2023 at BRAVE CF 69, knocking out his opponent 38 seconds into the bout. He will face Tunisia’s Ouessama Zeidi at BRAVE CF 71. A third dominant win in a row will definitely place Sebie a step closer to the championship circle at the highly competitive Welterweight division in the promotion. Mahmoud Sebie has already called out Joilton Lutterbach for an interim belt being confident that he will overcome Zeidi at BRAVE CF 71.
At the same time, Maysara Mohamed shattered predictions as he established himself as a force in the emerging ranks of the promotion as he crushed Mohd Farhad in his debut and went toe to toe against a formidable Frieh Harahsheh from Jordan. He will carry the hopes of Egypt as he faces Ruel Pañales handpicked and trained by veteran Rolando Dy from the Philippines. Both fighters have much to prove and it is certain that they won’t leave anything on the table in one of the most anticipated clashes in the fight card. With Egypt emerging from the shadows that haunted its MMA scene with proactive intervention by BRAVE CF, the nation is keenly awaiting the rise of its next champion after Ahmed Amir who gave rise to hopes of Egypt in the MMA world.
