Jordan Amateur Championship Included K1 Fights in JAC 2

JAC k2

Jordan Amateur Championship (JAC) closed its doors on Friday March 6th on it’s second installment at the King Hussein Boxing Arena in Amman. The night featured 8 MMA bouts, and for the first time, 3 fights under K1 rules as a new addition to Jordan Amateur Championship.

I personally wondered for a while, what’s behind the name of this promotion, why isn’t MMA part of it? Here’s the answer!

Jordan Amateur Championship 2 has added three fights under K1 rules to its event, with 3 exciting bouts taking place in a cage and fancy belts being awarded to the first ever promotional title holder. This fight night crowned Jalal Al Da’jaa (61kg), Saif Zaqzouk (65Kg), and Yousef Zoughbaba (80kg) as the first JAC K1 champions of their respective weight divisions.

Thabet Agha, one of the organizers of JAC, who is also behind JJC (Jordan Jiu Jutsu Cup) event, mentioned to ArabsMMA:

“We added these kind of bouts so that our local fighters will have professional K1 records. The striking level in Jordan is surely rising and we want to give those fighters the chance to compete internationally.”

Keep it up guys!
