Brave Combat Federation concluded the signing of Karl Amoussou on a multiple fight contract. Amoussou is the current Welterweight Champion at Cage Warriors and has competed in promotions including Strikeforce, DREAM, M-1 Global, Pancrase and Bellator MMA since 2006. He started training Judo at the tender age of three and a half years with his father. He then continued with his older brother Bertrand who is a medal-winning judoka for France in the 1990 European Judo Championships.
Inspired by Bertrand who fought in Pride FC, Karl started his MMA training at age 18. He then moved to Chute Boxe, Brazil to train besides Wanderlei Silva before making his professional debut. Amoussou will be joining the fierce welterweight division of Brave Combat Federation. During the signing itself he had stated his ambition to take over the championship title at Brave Combat Federation and reign the promotion. He will be joining the ranks of Jarrah Al Selawe, Carlston Harris, Tahar Hadbi, David Bear, Ahmed Amir, Erik Carlsson, Mohammed Fakhreddine, Gadzhimusa Gaziev and Sidney Wheeler in the Welterweight division which is one among the toughest in the world.
Amoussou hasn’t divulged further information regarding his debut at Brave Combat Federation. Meanwhile, Brave Combat Federation will be hosting its upcoming event in Brazil (Brave CF 11) on April 13th at Belo Horizonte at the Arena Mineirinho, to mark the third promotional event in Brazil.
