Riyadh – Abdulrahman Alenzi bounced back from his first professional loss in an exciting performance over Ibrahim Traore.
Alenzi (1-1 Desert Force) repeatedly connected before sinking in a fight ending guillotine choke and securing his first Desert Force win against Traore (0-1 Desert Force ).
The heavyweight bout was part of the preliminary card of Desert Force 16 event at Green Halls Stadium, Riyadh, KSA. The fight will be aired on MBC Action.
This fight had both fighters exchanging heavy blows dominantly throughout the bout, with Abdulrahman being the last man standing. It was an all out war for those who were there at the Green Halls Stadium as these two mountain men stepped foot in the cage that night.
Alenzi managed to connect with some heavy punches from the beginning of the first stanza, with Traore keeping distance and landing his own stiff jabs. Round 2 had the bigger and heavier Traore almost finishing the fight with a head kick which followed by a knee to the body, yet Alenzi had different plans that evening. After two very matched rounds, Kuwait’s golden boy pulls out a guillotine choke to step the giant Qatari half way through the third round.
Alenzi earns a big win after his first-round TKO loss to Yousef Abu Shreekh in Abu Dhabi, while Traore who fought for the first time Desert Force suffers his first career loss in Saudi.
AbdulRahman Alenzi had his promotional debut in Desert Force 15 in Abu Dhabi. An unsuccessful appearance for the Kuwaiti Golden Boy had everyone wondering and questioning his legitimacy. However in his post fight interview with ArabsMMA, the Kuwaiti did promise a better version of the “Arab Tyson”, and he sure delivered.
