Desert Force 23 takes place this Monday May 30, 2016 at the Ghazir Stadium in Lebanon.
The current interim title holder Mohammad Fakhreddine and former champion Aniss Al Hajjajy will battle it out for the interim title in view of Mounir’s injury which has him sidelined for a while.
Fakhreddine had claimed his interim title when he defeated Jarrah Al Selawi at Desert Force 20 this past January. While very few excpected this fight to go the distance, Mounir Lazzez’s predictions for that fight proved to be accurate and actually came true.
Al Hajjajy on the other hand looks unwilling to let go of the fact that he is still the welterweight champion while the division moved on without him after he dropped to lightweight. In the latest Qabl Al Mouwajaha episode, the Moroccan claims that he is the only rightful champ at 77Kg, and whoever wants to claim the shield has to face him first!
