Moustapha Aida vs. Demarte Pena serves as a co-main event of the ARES FC 10 fight card. The event takes place on December 8 at Le Dôme de Paris – Palais des Sports in Paris, France. It will air on the UFC Fight Pass streaming platform.
Moustapha Aida vs. Demarte Pena
The Algerian fighter made his professional MMA debut back in 2017. Since then he stacked up a 9 – 1 – 1 NC record. Aida started his professional fighting career with a two-fight winning streak. This s series was put to an end by Carlos Eduardo de Azevedo at 100% Fight 36. Since then he bounced back and won all of his next seven bouts. The second winning streak includes a successful rematch against de Azevedo and a decision win over Leopold Goi in his Ares FC debut.
Pena sports an 11 – 1 – 2 NC record. An EFC and EFC Africa mainstay won eleven consecutive bouts. He is the first EFC featherweight champion who defended the belt a record 10 times. His EFC stint ended with two no-contest bouts against Irshaad Sayed. ‘The Wolf’ made his Ares FC debut back in April. The Angolan was stopped by Taylor Lapilus in the very first round.
Moustapha Aida vs. Demarte Pena – who will win the fight?
Aida won moar of his fights by decision. He tapped out his three opponents with an armbar. He only has two TKO finishes.
‘The Wolf’ has a similar record as he won seven bouts with a decision. Pena also has two submissions and two TKO victories to his name.
Taking this all into consideration the most likely scenario is that the fight will go the distance. Neither of the fighters displays any favoritism toward striking or the ground game aspect of fighting and both simply adapt to the task presented by the current opponent. Whoever will manage to push through with his game plan will take the win in this one.
Other Algerian fighters on the fight card
Demarte Pena is not the only Algerian scheduled to fight at Ares FC 10. Two other country representatives also will be in the action. Mohamed Ramdane vs. Anthony Laurent serves as an opening bout and Assia Miri will square off against Fabiola Pidroni.
