The stage is set for what’s being promoted as the the biggest night of fights in Lebanon as champions top a stellar fight card at Phoenix Championship’s inaugural event on December 10. Today, Saturday October 8, 2016, the fighters faced the media at the official launching press conference of Phoenix Fighting Championship at Monroe Hotel, which began at 11 a.m. local time in Beirut.
During the presser, Phoenix Fighting Championship President and CEO, Mr. Chahe Yerevanian, officially announced the promotion and its first event in front of a massive media lineup. COO Serge Saad also took the time to unveil the event’s official Muay Thai and MMA line-up’s, including some high intensity match-ups that were added to the already studded cards. Among the MMA bouts that were revealed is a fight between fan favorite Mohammad Ghorabi who will face Brazilian opponent Claudio Cezario, and Tarek Suleiman who will get his rematch against Grigoriy Kichigin.
Phoenix 1 Muay Thai headliners Buakaw Banchamek and Andrei Kubelin were present in the conference, as well as MMA card headliners Davi Ramos (Brazil) and Nick Piedmont (USA). Also present on scene were Lebanese fighters on the card including Mohammad Ghorabi, Joeshwa Mortada, Bachir Yammine, and Tarek Suleiman.
