The Phoenix Championship hype machine has taken it up a notch, as the promotion held its launching press conference on (October 8 , 2016), which began at 11 am local time at the Monroe Hotel in Beirut.
Just in case you didn’t think the card for Phoenix 1 was big enough, Mr. Chahe Yerevanian decided to drop another bombshell.
Arab superstar Mohammad “The Killa” Ghorabi will be fighting on the Phoenix MMA Championship inaugural MMA fight card. Yes, you heard it right. Ghorabi will square off against Brazilian opponent Claudio Cezario (9-4) on December 10.
With the Monroe crowd putting their questions to the likes of Buakaw Banchamek and Andrei Kulebin, Phoenix COO serge saad announced the MMA fights during the official reveal of the MMA main card.
Ghorabi (6-2) is coming off a recent victory over Claudio’s hometown boy Paulo Enrique at the latest Desert Force Championship event which took place in Abu Dhabi this September. His opponent Cezario boasts a record of 9 professional wins, 7 of which by way of KO/TKO.
The two explosive fighters will meet in the cage this December! A hard to predict fight that’s surely a can’t miss for the fans!
