Saddam Abu Raghab, one of three fighters out of Team Narmouq, will be having his professional debut this Monday, May 25th when Desert Force hits Amman in its 17th installment.

A very determined and physically fit Jordanian plans to finish his opponent Silvester Saba in the first round. Saba, the more experienced Tristar fighter, has had 5 fights inside the Desert Force cage all ending in decisions. Could this one be any different? According to Saddam, Saba is coming to his house and will fight him in front of his homecrowd, that will give him an edge to finish this one early.

“I am here to prove my self after years of training. For me this is not just a fight , its a war. I’ll be looking to finish Saba in the first round and earn my first win in Desert Force. It’s nothing personal, but Silvester is coming to my town, in front of my crowd and I will be the first person to finish him.”

Fighting out of Team Narmouq, Saddam comes from a legit grappling school and everyone will be expecting to see him take the fight to the ground. Yet according to Abu Raghab, he is not afraid to stand and trade with the Lebanese stallion. Silvester surely has the reach advantage in this one but Saddam’s confidence in his boxing might surprise everyone.

“I respect any fighter that steps in the cage but I have seen Saba fight and his skills don’t worry me. I’m the best Arab grappler in my weight division and I’m working on my striking (boxing) with coach Mohanad Deeb, who pushes me and boosts my confidence in all aspects of the game.

That should be an interesting one! Saba fighting for the first time as a featherweight against a much determined Jordanian in his home time.

This fight will be part of the un aired undercard so if you are in Amman, make sure to get your tickets and head to Al Hussein Youth City Boxing Arena.
