Top Welterweights Fakhreddine and Hadbi set to collide at Brave 9

Coming off a last-minute withdrawal from a title fight in Brazil, Mohammad Fakhreddine will look to stay in the hunt for Carlston Harris’s belt as he takes on France’s Tahar Hadbi in a main card bout scheduled for Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions. The event is set for November 17th at Khalifa Sports City as Brave Combat Federation makes its much-awaited return to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Fakhreddine, who boasts a record of 10 wins and only one defeat, was set to take on Englishman Carl Booth for the inaugural Welterweight title back in August at Brave 8: The Rise of Champions in Curitiba, Brazil. However, he fell ill during the weight cut and dropped out from the bout. Carlston Harris stepped in on a day’s notice and claimed the inaugural belt in a grueling five-round battle.

The “Team Shogun – Lebanon” product takes on Tahar Hadbi, who makes his second Brave appearance after a controversial No Contest against Booth at Brave 5: Go For Glory. The French Welterweight was one of the first fighters confirmed for Brave 9 and he now has an opponent in Fakhreddine, who is 2-0 with the promotion, with two TKO wins to his name.

Hadbi x Fakhreddine is the second bout confirmed for Brave 9 after a title fight between Featherweight champion Elias Boudegzdame and challenger Lucas “Mineiro” Martins was recently announced.

Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions marks the promotion’s first card in Bahrain since last year. During 2017, Brave Combat Federation expanded its operations, holding groundbreaking events in Brazil (twice), Mexico, India, Kazakhstan and the United Arab Emirates. The November 17th show will be the culmination of the International Fight Week, alongside the IMMAF World Championships, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
