With Brave 9: “The Kingdom of Champions” just around the corner, it is rather hard not to get out of our seats. The Bahraini-based promotion is determined, as always, to bring the fans interesting match-ups that they would like to see. Here are the latest 2 additions to Brave CF 9 taking place on November 17th.
Hardeep Rai (1-0-0) Vs Alex Trinidad (2-1-0)
One of the fights that feature on the event is between Hardeep Rai and Alex Trinidad .
Hardeep Rai is a UK fighter with an extensive amateur mixed martial arts background. Having competed in the 2015 and 2016 IMMAF World Championships in a row, reaching the latter stages of the tournament but coming short on both occasions, Rai is a prospect. He has a compiled amateur record of thirteen wins and two losses. Almost half of his wins have come through decisions, while the other half by strikes. He has only 1 win through submission. This obviously shows how much of a dangerous striker Rai could be. His amateur success gave him a chance to prove his capabilities at Brave CF 5, where he did so by winning via submission over his opponent, Arnan Chaiyasan.
Alex “The Ice Cream Man” Trinidad is an American mixed martial artist and an ex-Bellator fighter. He has had six amateur fights in his career, winning five of them and losing only once. Three of those wins came through decision, whereas the other two were through strikes. His second professional bout was in Bellator 160, featuring in the preliminary card, where he lost by technical knockout. His last fight was a decision win against Andrew Lagdaan at CFFC 64. Having previously trained with KHK MMA fight team, this could definitely give Trinidad the upper hand.
An impressive win for any of the two fighters, followed by one or two more could put them in contention for the lightweight title shot in the coming months.
Charlie Leary (13-8-1) Vs Daniele Scatizzi (8-3-0)
Leary is by all means an experienced fighter who happens to know his way around the octagon. The UK fighter has competed in several promotions in his home country, including Cage Warriors and Full Contact Contender. Ever since 2015, Leary went on a serious winning streak, beating all five of his opponents and ultimately being granted his Brave CF contract. However, he lost his debut Brave fight by technical knockout against Ottman Azaitar, putting an end to his winning momentum. Charlie Leary has thirteen wins under his belt, four of them coming through decision, 3 through submission, and 6 by strikes. Leary will certainly try to avenge his loss by not only defeating his opponent, but also putting on a performance that will win him over some fans.
On the other hand, Daniele Scatizzi is a young and upcoming fighter who has still a lot to prove. With that being said, Scatizzi has tremendous talent and the fact that he has already burst on to the mixed martial arts scene at a young age proves that he has what it takes to excel. He has had a patchy professional fighting career with its ups and downs. Five of his wins have come through strikes, two through decision, and one by submission. Scatizzi has had a notable win against Daniel Miceli at Bellator 152, featuring in its main card. His last fight at Brave 4 was actually his debut Brave CF bout, where he lost against Jarrah Hussein Al-Silawi via unanimous decision.
Both men will be eager to get back to winning ways in style. With much on the line and a lot to prove, the two fighters will give it their all. This is another reason why this fight will be much anticipated.
