As announced earlier this month, our own Mark “Rocky” Tanios (3-0) from Lebanon will face Luc Ngeleka (2-1) in a heavyweight match-up in 2 days. Mark, accompanied by his coach Wissam Abi Nader and his father has set off to Switzerland today to take part of a truly entertaining fight card that includes some of the top names in Europe.
Lion FC VI takes place on Saturday September 12, 2015 with 12 professional fights, this time in Neuchâtel, Swizerland.
Tanios who currently rides a three win streak is the #1 ranked heavyweight in Desert Force promotion, with his latest win coming by way of TKO early in the first stanza. This guy moves like a middleweight and punches like a super heavyweight!
His opponent Luc Ngeleka is also coming out of an early TKO win when he finished Adnan Alic at Tsunami fighting championship in March. He’ll be looking to represent Switzerland and showcase a respectable performance against a man like Tanios.
Heavyweight MMA features the highest ratio of knockout finishes of any weight class. It’s no surprise; these guys are behemoths. Don’t Blink!
Also on the card is Algerian Tahar Hadbi who will be looking to add a 6th straight win when he faces Portugal’s Domingo Mestre in a fired up welterweight match-up.
