UAE Warriors returns on September 17 at Eithad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. UAE Warriors 33 will be headlined by a featherweight championship rematch as Jesse Arnett takes on the former champion, Ali AlQaisi. The welterweight title also will be on the line as Tahir Abdullaev takes on Josh Togo in the co-main.
Featherweight title rematch
Arnett comes out of his title win against AlQaisi, who he beat for the belt at UAE Warriors 30 on July 2. This was Arnett’s second consecutive win. He previously defeated Khadzhimurad Gasanguseynov at UAE Warriors 28.
The aforementioned fight ended in a controversial fashion. The former champion screamed at the referee and doctor, who stopped the bout. He even went after the new title holder.
AlQaisi was riding a four-fight winning streak before he was dethroned by the Canadian fighter. This was his first loss in two years. The Jordanian fighter captured the featherweight belt at UAE Warriors 24 by beating Do Gyeom Lee. He defended the belt once at UAE Warriors 29, where he defeated Ahmed Faress.

The Middle East region will be also represented by other fighters. A Lebanon Josh Togo will take on Tahir Abdullaev for a welterweight belt. In another welterweight bout, Abdulla Al Bousheiri will square off against John Adajar. The Jordanian fighter Nart Abida was paired with Ole-Jørgen Mandt Johnsen. In the prelims, Younes Chemali will trade blows with Bakhromjon Ruziev.
