Ali AlQaisi has been teased to compete on the second UAEW card in their return to Abu Dhabi.

Ali AlQaisi

‘The Royal Fighter’ is the reigning UAE Warriors featherweight champion but yet is looking to return to the win column.

His last contest was a 150-pound catchweight bout which saw him get finished in the first frame of the fight. AlQaisi was halted by punches when competing against Walter Cogliandro at UAE Warriors 45 last October. The 33-year-old is a two-time champion at 145 pounds in the company and has made two successful title defenses within this second reign holding the UAE Warriors featherweight strap.

AlQaisi’s last defense of the gold saw him emerge victorious in a rubber match against Jesse Arnett last May. The three-fight series between AlQaisi and Arnett is regarded by many as the most prolific in company history and the former left the series going 2-1 getting a unanimous decision win over ‘Big Cat’ at UAE Warriors 42.

Ali AlQaisi also made history in August 2020 by becoming the first Jordanian fighter to ever compete inside the vaunted octagon of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He would go on to have a pair of fights inside of the UFC cage. AlQaisi looks to make the third defense of his UAEW 145-pound belt against an opponent who is still TBA.

The organization was last in the United Arab Emirates for UAE Warriors 47: Arabia 13 on January 21st. UAE Warriors 48 took place in Brazil on March 3rd when UAEW took over Balneario Camboriu in Santa Catarina.

There are also rumblings of an October event date for the company. In summation, business is booming for UAE Warriors as 2024 encroaches onward.
