Things on the mixed martial arts scene are getting even hotter this summer! Cage Warriors 71 has moved from Stockholm (Condolences go to the fans) to the Jordanian capital, Amman, to take place in the King Hussein Youth City arena.

Cage Warriors 71 has several interesting bouts, the main event of which is the face-off between Jack “The Joker” Hermansson and challenger Deyan Topalski for the 84 KGs belt. The Norwegian champion Hermansson is 8-2 in his pro-record and undeafeated in Cage Warriors with 3 straight wins, last of which being by way of submission. Topalski is also a veteran with an 11-2 record and also bouncing off 3 straight wins in a different promotion. This will be the challenger’s first fight in Cage Warriors, but it has all the makings of a potentially good one.

But, that’s not all ! There has been a recent addition to the fight card which is sure get all the Arab fans excited. The Tunisian, Wael “The Viking” Korked, who is doubtlessly one of the best featherweight (66 KG) fighters in the Arab region, will be fighting against Amir Garandocov.

Korked has already made his professional debut after a 5 amateur fight winning streak at Cage Warriors, winning his pro debut via unanimous decision against a more experienced English fighter, Steve Aimable.
Korked’s opponent,Gerandokov, who fights out of Kdojo is 4-3 in his professional record and is looking to grab a win for his debut at Cage Warriors. For the hardcore fans with who remember,Gerandokov fought back in 2012 in the RFC promotion (RFC 1) in Beirut where he lost via submission (Triangle choke), but showed a good performance. However, he came back to fight twice in 2013, finishing both his fights and showing good improvement.

This is doubtlessly a difficult fight for Korked, who has always showed heart and stylistic development since his beginnings in mixed martial arts competition. Garandocov will be a huge test for the Tunisian, but, in this world, fighting up is the only way to truly make a name and climb up the ratings ladder to become one of the best. Cage Warriors 71 is going to be a blast !
