Fighting out of Team Boughanem Petchsaman FC in Pattaya, Thailand, where he has been a resident for the past 10 years, Boughanem is 2 time world champion and has taken so far 154 fights with almost half of his wins coming by way of knockout. The 23 year old Moroccan powerhouse looks to make a statement at Phoenix 5 by taking down Banks a second time.

His opponent, better known as “The American Kung Fu Panda”, is an experienced MMA and Muay Thai fighter who carried the prestigious WBC super heavyweight title. Banks trains and fights out of Phuket Top Team in Thailand. Standing at 6’5″ and weighing in at 265lbs, the gigantic Steven Banks moves with unexpected speed and precision, making him a threat to whoever steps into the ring with him.

Banks is no stranger to Phoenix Championship as he has taken part of Phoenix 3, London, where he came up short against Daniel Sam. “The Panda” will be eager to avenge his loss from Yassine and get back on the winning track come Phoenix 5.

Phoenix 5 which features a Muay Thai lineup takes place on the 26th of February at Bangkok, Thailand, at the Rajadamnern Stadium.
