The Lebanese fighter kept his win streak going this Saturday when he earned a decision win at FMT 7 over AKA’s Nikolai Kozyrev from Russia. With three back to back wins in three different promotions, Wehbe’s hunger to keep fighting and improving has started to pay dividends as he showcases improvement in every show and in such little time.
Yousef Wehbe continued his climb up with a third consecutive professional win improving his record to 3-2-1 nc.
FMT- Full Metal Dojo 7 took place on October 31 at Insanity Night Club, Bangkok Thailand.
First round
The two fighters start the round throwing with same volume before Youssef gets the takedown, looking to make damage. The action tightens giving Nikolai the perfect opportunity sets up a tight triangle choke & switches it to mount. Youssef utilizes his long limbs and power to escape and take side control and started landing some elbows.
Second round
Not much took place in the second as Wehbe pressured the Russian, pressing him and staying busy with knees keeping Nikolai’s back on the cage. Youssef ends the second with a takedown that earned him the round.
Third round
As the third stanza picked up, both fighters looked to keep it standing. As the exchanges got wilder, Nikolai rocks Yousef with a big knee but Phucket Top Team’s young gun finds his way and scores a takedown, giving himself time to recover. Wehbe ends the last round strong with ground & pound from side control.
Youssef won all 3 rounds.
“I will keep improving and climbing the welterweight ladder. This is just the start. I am still young, and I feel my game is maturing day by day. I want to thank all my brothers in Phucket Top Team and all my supporters back in my home country Lebanon. We did it again!”
Great news, the lebos are going big !!!
