The Lebanese Muay Thai team had a brilliant kickstart for the Asiam Beach games in Phuket, Thailand after displaying an exceptional performance in the opening matches. With Coach Ali Makhzoum cornering the Lebanese fighters, the cedar land boxers aced their opening fights consecutively, while the rest of them await their upcoming matches. It is also worth noting that Also Roula Khaled (60 KG Women’s Division ) will have her first fight after automatically qualifying to the semi-finals to meet up with her Indian counterpart.
In the 67 KG Men’s Division Youssef Abboud defeated the Korean fighter via TKO 1st round and qualified to the quarter finals. He will face a fighter from Kazakhstan for a spot in the semi-finals.
In the 63.5 KG Men’s Division – Ahmad Ondash defeated Turkmenistan via unanimous decision and qualified to the quarter finals. He will face a fighter from Vietnam for a spot in the semi-finals.
In the 58 KG Women’s Division – Rimma Sawah defeated her Singapore opponent via unanimous decision and qualified to the semi finals. She will face a fighter from Thailand also for a spot in the semi-finals.
