Spinning Kick King “Jonathan Tuhu” Coming To Lebanon For Phoenix 1

In November 2014 the world witnessed a jaw-dropping knockout, which was both awe-inspiring and chilling all at once. Such was the shocking force of this kick, which was landed in a Muay Thai match in Newcastle, Australia. It was Papua New Guinea native Jonathan Tuhu’s spinning 360 degree Tornado Kick, which connected clean on his opponent’s head, removed his consciousness and sent him crashing to the canvas like timber. This won Tuhu the prestigious “Knockout of the Year” award in 2014.

Now he’s coming to Lebanon. This man is a Muay Thai practitioner with dreams of becoming a Muay Thai World Champion like his idol Buakaw. He may be one step closer to achieving this dream, as Phoenix Fighting Championship, which is building a huge fight card for December, have secured his services for their premier event. His opponent will be Lebanon’s own Hassan Adawiyi, a veteran of the sport. One thing’s for sure, don’t blink, because “Black Gold” is a special talent, who has been training at Phuket Top Team six times-a-week, twice-a-day and his explosive abilities make him a danger at any point in the fight.

Anyone with aspirations in the 64kg weight category will have to come through this beast first, who will have the added inspiration of being on the premier Phoenix Fighting Championship show, which is being headlined by his hero and Muay Thai legend Buakaw’s sensational fight against Andrei “The Bullet” Kulebin.

Phoenix was announced last month by CEO Chahe Yerevanian, who promised a spectacular combination of Muay Thai and MMA in his new promotion.

He flew out to Minsk, Belarus to finalize the main event just two weeks ago and secured the services of two of the finest Muay Thai fighters on the planet in Buakaw and Kulebin.

Now the Lebanon can look forward to watching the man from Papua New Guinea, who landed THAT KICK in 2014 in a fight which has over 1 million views on YOUTUBE.
