971 FC Fight Card Announced: Mohamed Fakhreddine Headlines the card

971 FC

With the lineup for the inaugural 971 FC event is now complete, the promotion has announced the full fight card and bout order – with arguably one of the most studded cards we’ve seen in the Middle East in a long time.

971 FC takes place May 4 at The Agenda in Dubai, UAE and features 15 bouts. The promotion is yet to announce details about broadcasting.

The main event features Mohamed Fakhreddine who takes on Italy’s Gianni Melillo in a middleweight bout. Fakhreddine is a pioneer of the sport in the Middle East, boasting a record of 15 wins and 5 losses, and an impressive 80% knockout win ratio. He is a former 2-division Brave CF champion champion. Melillo steps into the ring bearing a record highlighted by a 65% knockout win rate and a seasoned career across platforms like UAE Warriors, Bellator, and Oktagon.

This match, however, is more than statistics. Melillo faces Fakhreddine with the backdrop of a victory over Mohammad Karaki, Fakhreddine’s close friend and former teammate. He achieved this through a notorious sucker punch knockout. Pride and honor is on the line in this match.

Two co-main events will complement 971 FC on May 4. Adham Mohamed of Egypt squares off against Ireland’s John Mitchell in the 155 lbs category. Mitchell, a name familiar to fans as a PFL Europe veteran and tournament finalist, while Mohamed looks to prove himself against a tough international opponent.

Eslam Abdul Baset Syaha from Egypt against Britain’s Dan Vinni also co-headlines the event. Sytaha is the first UAE Warriors Arabia welterweight champion, riding the momentum of a 6-fight win streak and victories in 14 of his last 15 bouts. Vinni is a veteran of the sport with a record of 44 fights, out of which 23 via stoppages, 20 of them in the first round, and 13 by first-round submission.
