Irish sensation James Gallagher (3-0) has arrived to Bellator MMA and already has the champion Daniel Strauss (24-6) in his sights.

The undefeated KHK MMA featherweight confidently claimed he will be champion within a year, and mocked top contender Bubba Jenkins (11-2) in a humorous back-and-forth on Twitter.

Following a fan’s question to the Champion Daniel Strauss on twitter: What do you think of this disrespectful little Mcgregor wannabe?
Gallagher intercepted the conversation with a simple: Ask him this time next year when I take his belt.
Both the Bellator featherweight stars engaged with the Irishman in this light hearted verbal sparring session. Strauss appeared to take a shine to the charismatic Irishman whilst Jenkins was less impressed. Both clearly have Gallagher on their radar now.

Following a short Twitter joust with Strauss, Gallagher got the desired reaction from Bubba Jenkins: Trust me, you two BOYS don’t want any of us American chocolate MEN on that ***.

Gallagher saw his chance, and unloaded some bombs on Jenkins, likening him to the fictional character Bubba from the famous Tom Hanks movie: Forrest Gump.
Jenkins continued to bite back, and was visibly irritated by Gallagher’s sharp witted verbal assault. Jenkins asserted: My name ain’t Gump and your name ain’t Connor, this **** ain’t Hollywood. I do this!

Gallagher hails from the same gym as UFC superstar Conor Mcgregor and appears to possess the UFC featherweight champion’s famous silver tongue.
So far, the former super amateur Gallagher has backed up his claims with three first round submissions in as many fights. His superstar potential was confirmed as MMA heavyweights Bellator snapped him up last month.
Gallagher, fighting out of KHK MMA, now has the attention of the best fighters in his weight class and if this dialogue is anything to go by, big fights await the Irish prospect.
