Desert Force MMA Championship is heading to Beirut, Lebanon for the first time this August [Monday August 17, 2015]!
The ‘Abdulahad Gari Vs Tareq Hamdi’ fight was initially scheduled for the co-main event of Desert Force 16 in KSA, with Gari set to challenge the lightweight champ Tareq Hamdi. Only 5 days before the event, Gari sustained a foot injury that had him pull out of the fight. That night, Mohammad Triki stepped up to replace injured Gari, Triki appeared to be in control of the scorecards and took two of the three rounds for a decision win, dethroning Hamdi.
Gari is one of the most promising Arab talents in the division and earned his shot at the title after 3 consecutive wins under the Desert Force Banner.
Here we go again. Hamdi always seemed very comfortable talking about his Saudi opponent mentioning on multiple occasions that “Gari will be shocked”, with the fight now set and official, it’s Hamdi’s turn to prove that!
