LEBANON – When the bantamweights step in the cage, it’s nothing but speed and firepower! With the little time Abdulkader Souane and Maher Salloum fought, they managed to entertain and deliver what the crowd wanted; a full on battle with Souane being the victor.

This bantamweight fight was part of the Desert Force 18 preliminary bouts which preceded the main card that aired live on MBC Action. The event took place on the 17th of August at the Hikmeh Stadium in Ghazir, Lebanon.

Salloum landed the first combination as Souane countered with a vicious right hand that drops Maher to the canvas. Souane follows up to end this early yet the referee sees it fit to separate and stand both strikers up. Moments later, both fighters engage in what could be called a mini brawl where Souane lands a left hook that sends Salloum face down and in a turtle position. It was moments before referee Mark Goddard stepped in to stop the ground and pound being delivered.

Souane is now (1-1) in Desert Force after showcasing some interesting striking skills in the cage. Maher adds yet another loss to his professional career (0-2).
