It’s day one of ADGS Abu Dhabi, and the biggest Jiu-Jitsu stars worldwide are back at the most happening hub on the planet. Today, the Mubadala Arena is the place to be as the youth competitors with their sassy personalities and pure love for the sport take over the mats. A super cool video was published on AJP Tour’s YouTube showing how different young athletes are stoked about UAE’s Jiu-Jitsu Hero in Space Sultan Al Neyadi, who made history by being the first person to do jiu-jitsu in space!

The first person to do jiu-jitsu in Space

The six-minute video he posted on social media has Dr. Al Neyadi floating in space, sporting a UAEJJ Gi – the cool kimono-style attire worn by the sport’s athletes. Al Neyadi shared how jiu-jitsu helped him big time during his six-month mission in microgravity, especially in regulating his breathing during a centrifuge exercise that simulates the G-forces astronauts feel during launch and re-entry.

Most importantly, the fun doesn’t end here as Al Nayadi also posted an image wearing the ADGS Abu Dhabi T-shirt and showing for support for everyone involved.
