BRAVE Combat Federation’s much-anticipated return to Slovenia for BRAVE CF 88 has a new co-main event. Lithuanian heavyweight Pavel Dailidko will now face Polish knockout artist Patryk Dubiela for the inaugural BRAVE CF Heavyweight title. Azamat Nuftillaev, originally scheduled to fight Dailidko, has withdrawn from the event.

Heavyweight Title

Dubiela steps up for the title fight after his impressive performance at BRAVE CF 81. He made a strong statement by stopping Kasim Aras in under a minute, showcasing his power and potential in the BRAVE CF Heavyweight division. A Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu brown belt, Dubiela trains with former BRAVE CF Super Welterweight champion Marcin Bandel and aims to bring another BRAVE CF belt to Poland.

Pavel Dailidko, known for his finishing ability, enters this fight on a four-fight win streak in BRAVE CF. His last victory came at BRAVE CF 81, where he defeated Valdrin Istrefi in the second round. In 2023, Pavel made history as the first BRAVE CF fighter to record three first-round knockouts in a single calendar year. Now, he seeks to become BRAVE CF’s first-ever Heavyweight champion.

Despite the late change in opponents, the co-main event remains one of the biggest fights in BRAVE CF history. The Heavyweight division is the only weight class in BRAVE CF that has yet to crown a champion, adding to the anticipation for this historic showdown.

Valdrin Istrefi, who was initially set to face Dubiela, will now serve as the alternate in case of any last-minute changes to the co-main event. Another update to the fight card comes in the amateur Welterweight division, as Slovenia’s Kirill Negru will now face Italy’s Ilia Sinani.

Return of Erko Jun

In addition to the Heavyweight title bout, BRAVE CF 88 will be headlined by a Light Heavyweight title fight. European MMA superstar Erko Jun will take on German regional champion Alexander Wesner in what promises to be a thrilling contest. The fight card also features top athletes from around the globe, along with Slovenia’s top MMA stars.

BRAVE CF 88, in partnership with WFC, is scheduled for September 28. This marks BRAVE Combat Federation’s second event in Slovenia this year, following the successful BRAVE CF 81. The event continues to push the promotion’s global reach and highlights BRAVE CF’s commitment to growing MMA in Europe.
