CAGE WARRIORS: CWFC Fight Night 9 in Bahrain

OFFICIALS have today confirmed details of Cage Warriors’ next visit to the Middle East; After Fight Night 8 which took place on May 11 at Al Fujairah Tennis Club in Al Fujairah, United Arab Emirates , the promotion returns to Bahrain on Friday, October 25, to stage CWFC Fight Night 9 at the Khalifa Sports City in Isa Town.

The event will mark CWFC’s first trip to the country since May of last year, when Gael Grimaud successfully defended the CWFC welterweight title against Jesse Taylor at the sold-out CWFC Fight Night 6, a card that also featured the likes of Jim Alers, Ivan Buchinger and John Phillips.
CWFC Fight Night 9 will be hosted under the patronage of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Bahrain’s first Vice Chairman of the Supreme Council.for Youth and Sports and President of the Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation.

He said: “Bahrain has always hosted a wide range of sporting events throughout the year and we certainly welcome Cage Warriors back for another suspense-filled evening in which fighters will demonstrate their strength, skills and discipline in this ultimate combat sport.”

Coming less than three weeks after Cage Warriors 60, which is scheduled for October 5 in London, CWFC Fight Night 9 will be Cage Warriors’ 11th event of 2013 and ninth in the Middle East in the space of the last two years.

“Our last show in Bahrain was one of my favourite CWFC events,” said Cage Warriors CEO Graham Boylan. “I expect CWFC Fight Night 9 to be even better again and I’d like to sincerely thank HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa for paving the way for us to return.”
