At EFC 21, the Egyptian heavy weight will be facing Tshiamala Vandam Mbuyi, a strong and lethal judo practitioner from the Democratic Republic of Congo. Abdul Kareem enters this fight on a 2 win streak that he will look to extend against Vandam. He won his last fight fighting under the Desert Force banner against the Tunisian Amin Nacheb where he appeared on the verge of a beating until he cleverly used his opponents movements to roll him into an arm bar and securing an unlikely win.
After his come from behind victory, Abdul Kareem challenged any heavyweight in the region in his post fight interview to a brawl which has created some anticipation amongst Arab MMA fans who are eargerly anticipating his next duel. Emotions typically run high post fight which has prompted Abdul Kareem to post a statement on the Eygptian Top Team’s facebook page apologizing for any fans who thought his declaration was proof of Ego.
