Desert Force officials have announced another three fights for the upcoming Desert Force 12 card that will take place in Amman, Jordan, on the 11th of April! They are:
Mohammad Yahya (UAE) vs. Michael Aoun (LEB) (70 KG’s)
Rafat Shawee (IRQ) – Ibrahim Sawi (EGY) (84 KG’s)
Azedine Bouhmidi (MOR) – Lawin Khalil Mustafa (IRQ) (84 KG’s)
Mohammad Yahya will make his second bow in Desert Force after his successful debut during the Desert Force Bahrain card, defeating Hamzah Nafush by TKO. The Emirati fighter was eager to get back into the cage as soon as possible and will be facing Michael Aoun, one of the most prominent Lebanese fighters who will be making his debut at 70KG’s. Aoun now fights out of the Tiger Muay Thai stable under the guidance of Coach Hassan Berjawi, and is a training partner of 84KG interim champ Mohammad Fakhreddine.
Rafat Shawee vs Ibrahim Sawi is a bout that was supposed to take place on two previous occasions albeit had to be dropped due to injuries. The fighters will be hoping that the third attempt will be their lucky one as they look to lock horns in the Octagon. Rafat will try and make a point by putting on a good performance that his KO loss against Mejjid Saddigh was a blip in the road. He faces one of the top 84 KG prospects out of Egypt in Ibrahim Sawi who turned around his run of two losses in January by submitting his opponent in Jordan.
Another 84 KG bout will take place on the card and will see two exciting Desert Force debutants facing one another. Azedine Bouhmidi is a new prospect from the land that seems to be grooming a stable of MMA fighters, Morroco. He has solid karate, kickboxing and grappling skills which he will hope to utilize when facing Lawin Khalil who has an equally well rounded MMA game. Lawin also makes his debut at 84 KG in this match up
