Dubai Jiu-Jitsu Open Cup (No Gi) was wrapped up today at Al Wasl Indoor Stadium, with many black belts highlighting the event and fighting for the title, Brazil’s Jiddu Bastos Lemos beats Denmark’s Alexander Trans to win the No-Gi black belt open weight division. A great come back for Jose Junior winning the Male Black Adult +93 division after being busy for a while with the schooling program in Abu Dhabi, 2 years of absence from the competitions scene and now he snatches Gold at Dubai Jiu-Jitsu cup. Paulo Jose Pinto from the Command Group BJJ adds yet another Gold to his collection topping the 93KG division today. Paulo is number one in the world in this division, we will surely see more of this guy on the stands. On a different note, seeing Alexander Trans taking part in the tournament was for sure a breath of air for all fans, Trans unable to get gold but earns a Bronze at 93+ and in addition to scoring Silver in Open weight. We hope more of the 200+ coaches in UAE to compete in future tournaments. Check out the full black belt results below:
