With January 19th drawing ever closer on the horizon, the Abu Dhabi Extreme Championship has been gradually revealing the fights that will make up the card for its second edition, and another piece of the puzzle has fallen into place. Fighting in the preliminary card, Former Brave CF Champion Ahmed Amir and Matus Arpas will go toe-to-toe in a Grappling bout at the ADXC cage.
Former Brave CF Champion Ahmed Amir
Also known as “The Butcher”, the Egyptian Ahmed Amir boasts 12 victories in his career, seven of those coming via chokes and an armbar. With his aggressive and unrelenting game, Ahmed will use all the tools at his disposal to come out on top in the upcoming duel.
It’s been an absolute pleasure being part of KHK MMA team headed by Captain Eldar Eldarov. The support from the world champions in this team, along with the Bahrain Jiu-Jitsu National team athletes under Captain Reda Monfaridi, the head coach has been optimal. Being able to train with this level of athletes has been a blessing.
Former Brave CF Champion Ahmed Amir continued:
My aim in this fight is to show that I am more than just an MMA champion with good wrestling, rather than a grappler with a lot of tools and weapons. I love how ADXC is approaching this event. Bringing in the MMA style of trash-talking and turning this into an entertainment event with professional grapplers. This is going to be a changing point.
Hailing from Slovakia, Matus Arpas is a dangerous fighter and Jiu-Jitsu brown belt who has 3 wins and only one loss in his record. All of his victories came via submission. With his well-rounded toolset, Matus comes to the ADXC cage not only as a dangerous contender but also as the spark that threatens to light the whole battlefield on fire.
The second edition of the Abu Dhabi Extreme Championship has even more action in store for its big night. The event is headlined by a Grappling Main Event between Aljamain Sterling and Chase Hooper. The tournament will also feature a clash between Bruno Lima and Manuel Ribamar in the Jiu-Jitsu Main Event, and 12 other fights ready to take the action to the next level.
