Syria’s own Jarjis Danho (6-1) will get his chance for redemption on September 3rd, at UFC Fight Night Hamburg, against Denmark’s Christian Colombo (8-1).

Danho, nicknamed “Man Mountain”, suffered a demoralizing technical decision defeat in his first UFC fight and is keen to make amends in his second appearance in the UFC. His opponent is no walkover however. Christian Colombo, a Danish fighter, stands at a towering 6,5 and has amassed an impressive record against some of continental Europe’s more experienced fighters. Colombo noticeably has two wins over Germany based heavyweights… can he make it three with Danho? You can bet Danho will do his best to make sure that doesn’t happen.

“I’m going to get back to doing what I do best, finishing fights. I don’t care who is standing across from me in the cage, I’m going to give them hell and turn out their lights.”

Danho was stopped in his tracks by Daniel Omielanczuk at UFC Fight Night 84 in London after a lackluster fight. He received a low blow and was unable to continue, leaving the judges to render a technical decision.

But the “Man Mountain” from Syria, who is 6,3 and walks around at 300lbs, is ready to erase this fight from his memory and start climbing the heavyweight ladder once more.

“That fight was a bad one for me, I had some problems going into it, but I couldn’t turn down the opportunity to fight in the UFC,” he said. “Now I’m in better shape, I’m hungrier than ever and that is very bad news for my opponent.”

Both fighters will be looking to win impressively in order to stamp their mark upon the heavyweight division. This weight class is currently wide open and we just saw the title change hands yet again, with Stipe Miocic dominating the former champion FabricioWerdum.
