Jarrah Al Selawe celebrated his 26th birthday on Monday which also marked his first year with Brave Combat Federation. The welterweight fighter from Jordan leads the promotion with maximum number of wins. With a career record of eleven wins in his thirteen appearances, Al Selawe is on a seven fight winning streak, 5 of which under the Brave CF banner. In his latest bout he fought against Tahar Hadbi in three rounds of action which declared Al Selawe the winner by unanimous decision. The bout decision turned slightly controversial and debatable after Hadbi announced that he fought with a broken hand from the first round which Jarrah denied and stated that it was towards the end of the third round that the incident occurred.
Even before topping the division with maximum number of wins, the Jordanian Lion was the leading choice to challenge the current champion Carlston Harris for the welterweight title. However, Harris was out of action due to his injury and had recently updated a video showcasing himself back in training. The recent developments have given rise to speculations that a championship title defense will soon materialize since Harris and Azaitar are the only champions left to defend their titles.
Amidst his celebrations, Jarrah had stated, “It was a wonderful year full of victories and this year I will fight until I get the title inshallah.” President of Brave COmbat Federation has not expressed a tentative date for the welterweight or lightweight title defense. The promotion has announced that there will be events hosted in additional geographic locations throughout 2018
